SIDGS has played a leading role in developing a Proof of Concept (POC) for BIAN’s Coreless Banking Initiative. This fourth iteration, known as Coreless Banking 4.0, was created in collaboration with BIAN members, including Wells Fargo, Salesforce, IBM, and Zafin. The initiative harnesses Artificial Intelligence (AI) and API-driven models to identify and address product gaps, anticipate customer needs, and provide targeted, personalized solutions for banking clients. 

The POC uses SAMi’s API catalog to showcase a catalog of APIs essential for modernizing banking processes and to demonstrate how banks can effectively adapt BIAN’s framework. By integrating standardized service domains, SAMi allows banks to leverage a digital asset marketplace that strengthens customer engagement while ensuring a secure, standards-compliant approach.

Unveiling the “SAMi-BIAN Starter Pack” 

SIDGS offers a pre-built solution called the “SAMi-BIAN Starter Pack.” This API catalog aligns with BIAN’s standard Service Domains and gives banks a robust foundation to adopt a standards-based approach. With this starter pack, banks can explore the benefits of a composable, API-first architecture and accelerate the transition toward a more efficient, customer-focused business model. 

The advancements achieved through the Coreless Banking Initiative and the SAMi platform will be highlighted at the upcoming BIAN Annual Summit, taking place in the City of London on November 19th and 20th.
